Ostrog Monastery

Ostrog Monastery, a miracle built by nature and human interaction, carved almost in its entirety in a vertically positioned mountain cliff, is today the pearl of Montenegrin spirituality which is visited by more than a hundred thousand pilgrims from around the world and of travellers of all religions every year.

It is one of three most visited Christian destinations on the planet with its cave-like chapel and the Monastery complex that preserves the sanctity of Saint Basil the , Orthodox Christian Saint of Miracles.

Skadar Lake

Lake Skadar is a wild wonder waiting to be explored. A vast freshwater lake straddling the borders of Albania and Montenegro and surrounded by dramatic karst mountains, its mirrored waters, rocky shores and wetlands play host to a myriad of wildlife with more than 260 species of birds, traditional fishing villages, islet monasteries and pristine beaches.

Bay of Kotor

Located along one of Wold’s most beautiful bays is Kotor, a city of traders and famous sailors, with many stories to tell.

The Old City of Kotor is a well preserved urbanization typical of the middle Ages, built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor a UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site”. Through the entire city the buildings are criss-crossed with narrow streets and squares. One of these squares contains the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon (Sveti Tripun), a monument of Roman culture and one of the most recognisable symbols of the city.

Tara Rafting

Rafting on Tara river is an adrenaline sport, a combination of adventure andrelaxation. It represents a memorable event for every visitor. It is performed in inflatable boats made especially for wild rivers. In these boats can fit 8-10 people. Boat is run by skipper guides. All skippers possess IRF (International Rafting Federation) certificates and all have over 50 descents during the seaso. Before leaving forrafting, rafters get the necessary equipment, and skippers keep a short briefing. Lowering the boat down Tara is a real challenge for adventurers and nature lovers.

Biogradska Gora National Park

Biogradska Gora, the oldest of Montenegro’s national parks was founded as long ago as 1878 by King Nikola, who decided with great foresight to preserve its incredible natural heritage for posterity.

Although it is the smallest of four National Parks in Montenegro, National Park Biogradska Gora contains diversity of flora and fauna. There are 26 different habitats of plants with 220 different plants. 150 kinds of birds and 10 kinds of mammals live in this Park and in its forest there are 86 kinds of trees. Basic elements of the Park are: untouched forest with trees over five hundreds of years old, large mountain slopes and tops, glacier lakes at altitude of 1820 meters and easy accessible Lake located at very entrance to the Park. Park is renowned as unique geological – morphological region and as such very attractive for scientific research.
